Enchanted Book Tours: Review, Guest Post and Giveaway: Destiny's Mark by KH LeMoyne

Please give a warm welcome to KH LeMoyne who is guest posting today here at BLH.

 A Man’s Undivided Attention

Thank you for having me here at Book Lover’s Hideaway. I hope everyone is having a successful start to their new year!

One of the things I mentioned in an earlier post was how the hero in Destiny’s Mark, Guardian Defense Master Tsu Halan, differs as an eastern alpha from his western counterparts. But in love and family, all the things that count, his is faithful to the code of the man who adores a woman, his woman. Having had two hundred years to consider how best to woo his mate, he’s become creative to the point where her enticement into their relationship means more than weapons or training or group opinion. And he’s saved all his special attention just for her.

In my opinion, you just have to love a man who is all about you! Here’s a small excerpt to prove the point.

 Excerpt

He paused, pressing a kiss to the corner of Jai’s mouth and then her jaw, not meeting her gaze. “Are you sure?”

Was she? Her mind had resolved to try courageous pursuit. Her body agreed, with a racing pulse and hot tingles across her flesh. Only her conscience remained uncommitted, but for one night, it had no vote. “I’m here. You promised me a sensual exploration. A safe one,” she added as a final compromise to her conscience.

“I promised you everything. But I’ll take only whatever you feel safe giving me.”

“I’m here to comfort you.”

“The only comfort I need is your pleasure.” His fingers brushed her temple.

She leaned into his touch. “Then I can’t lose.”

His lips touched hers in a gentle press before his tongue licked across her lower lip. Jai pressed closer, prepared to deepen the kiss when he moved back.

“Will you be completely open to me?”

As if understanding her hesitation, he drew her with him to the far corner of the room. Several long mirrors surrounded a wide, thick mat filled with jewel-colored pillows. He made no move toward his bed, visible in the adjoining room, or to the pillows on the floor.

Instead, he positioned a wide bench before one of the mirrors. He faced her toward the mirror and stood behind her. “The most sensual thing we can share is trust.”

Her heart skipped a beat. She anticipated the waves of spiraling heat his touch ignited. Prepared as well to deal with the backlash of emotions and perhaps guilt from giving in to her sexual desires. But trust was off the table.

He brushed his fingers down the sleeves of her gown and leaned his head beside hers as he watched her in the mirror. “Trust can be earned. Both of us will benefit if we take the time.” His palm rose to cover her naked skin beneath her collarbones. “I offer you my open heart. I will treasure yours if you choose to let me in. For now, I only ask you hear my pledge to you.”

Could he read her thoughts? Her fears? Jai pressed her lips more tightly together and stared at his reflection without blinking. What could she say that her thundering heart wouldn’t already tell him? His dark eyes locked with hers in that reflection.

“I pledge I will not abuse you. I will honor your uniqueness. I will listen to your needs and your fears. And I will offer everything in my power for your pleasure.”

She blinked again, dampness threatening along her lashes. A feeling so close to the desperation she’d felt only during her search threatened to explode.

Have a great day everyone! ~Kate

Title: Destiny’s Mark (Guardians of Eden #3)
Author: K.H. LeMoyne
Genre: Adult Urban Fantasy / Paranormal Romance

The only difference between fate and destiny is choice.

Blurb:

Tsu Halan, Guardian defense master, has honed his skills and waited patiently over the centuries for the covenant’s promise of a mate to share his soul and a family to cherish. Close enough to taste fulfillment, the dark echoes of the past threaten with danger and death.

Jai Dashkov harbors her own painful secrets of harsh betrayal and tender loss. Her desperate search to reclaim her life doesn’t allow room in her heart to deviate for love.

Together they are stronger than apart, but the promise of the covenant is a perpetual test. One that Tsu and Jai must conquer in time or suffer an eternity for their failure.

 THE GUARDIANS OF EDEN:

A race of beings created in a Sanctum at the far edge of Eden. Co-existing with mankind, they safeguarded human souls and the promise of eternity—until a virus killed all over the age of eighteen. The surviving children fled to the Sanctum for protection, children raising children without the full legacy of their history and knowledge. Two hundred years of solitude have produced a race of semi-immortals fortified with powers and intellect but lacking the mates who will make them whole and allow them to fulfill their covenant with mankind.

 Review:
I was kind of worried because I hadn't read the previous books if I might be a bit confused with what was happening in this one, but I am happy to say I wasn't at all . In fact, I am eager to read the first two books in this series.

Tsu and Jai are just my kind of couple I love to read about,  They are true soul mates in every sense of the word.  This is one thing I truly found  unique about this story and these semi- immortals. Their mates are literally soul mates.

I hate to repeat myself, but one thing I want in a good story is connection with the characters to me that is so important and I could honestly connect with all of them especially Jai.  Not to give anything away but one of my favorite parts is how defensive and concerned she was for Dori and Apollo.  Dori's story in itself broke my heart.

Overall I loved this book so much, I have the first book on my Kindle waiting for me and I will definitely be diving into it as soon as I can.  I now have another new author to enjoy and obsess over.
